I want to share a vulnerable story with you today, I feel vulnerable in sharing my life experiences with you because I certainly didn’t have a straight-up success. I grew up in a family that had some money but it certainly was not mine.

When I was about 19, my aunt gave me money for college (she even declined treatment for cancer so she could give me the funds).

I studied communications because I was eager to learn as much as I could about people and relationships. At the age of 21, I built my first house from the ground up and went on to buy and fix up homes to resell them.

As dreamy as this sounds… there was so much about life & money that I still didn’t know.

By the time I was 23 my husband, at the time, told me to take a vacation with my two-year-old daughter and go to visit my mom in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Once we had left, he took the equity that we had earmarked to finish the house and went to Mexico with his girlfriend (I had no idea he had) to party and buy cocaine. When I returned, we started the long painful process of divorce. All of that is a way too familiar story for many of you but I want you to know that I have been in your shoes.

I was stressed and completely overwhelmed as I tried to figure out how to hold onto my house and my property, which I had invested everything in, and still have funds to feed my daughter ( let’s just say I learned to boost my recipes of split pea soup tremendously).

In attempts to save money, I made decisions out of a lack mindset.

Like the time I hired the least expensive contractors to finish out the house. Long story short it was a horrible idea! Especially when the plumbers who had run out of town left me with plumbing that was seeping out of the walls.

Over the years I have learned WISE ways to budget and WISE ways to draw in extra cash you may not even have known was available for you and I want to share my knowledge with you which is why I am opening some spots for FREE GPS Your Finance Sessions.

40 years ago, I certainly would’ve loved if someone offered me a session like this. It would have saved me countless hours that I spent reading self-help books on money, Real estate investments, and stocks. Then I took the plunge. As they say, taking action is really the only way to learn.

Take me up on my offer. You will be glad you did. Here’s the link.
